Based on the Edge Bait Original, this semi-long jig is designed for lateral slides and extended hang time in the water.
The flatter body responds more quickly to jerks than the Original. Its slightly rearward weight balance allows momentum from the rear to disrupt the jig’s posture after a jerk, adding an erratic movement. As the slide ends, the tail begins to sink first. A shallow recess near the rear then catches water, bringing the head down as the body rocks into a horizontal falling posture. The V-shaped keel on the underside retains the Edge Bait Original’s characteristic vibration.
A wide slide followed by an extended period of hanging horizontally in the water.
This contrast between active movement and a quiet presentation triggers reaction bites, making this semi-long jig well suited to targeting pelagic predators.

SILHOUETTE | Silhouette
The flattened, elongated body catches water during a jerk and responds quickly, producing a wider lateral slide than the Original. The center of gravity sits slightly toward the rear. After the jerk, momentum from this rearward mass disrupts the jig’s posture, adding an erratic movement near the end of the slide.

KEEL EDGE | Keel Edge
The keel design is inherited from the Original.
The keel helps the jig track cleanly through the water, keeping the slide aligned with the direction of the jerk. Working together with the semi-long body, it improves response to rod movements and allows a smooth transition into the slide with minimal input. The result is a crisp sliding action combined with a slow fall.

SMOOTH FLAT
Smooth Flat
The smooth, flat surface creates controlled water resistance during the slide, gradually slowing the jig after a jerk. Rather than stopping abruptly, the jig decelerates smoothly and transitions into the fall. This surface is designed to control how the slide ends, connecting it smoothly to the next fall.
